How to apply and join CCA
Our process is not an evaluation of your skills or career success. It’s completely okay if you’re at the beginning of your journey, in the middle of a rough patch, or planning your final act.
Apply.
Complete our 1-page application. It asks about where you are in your career journey, goals, challenges, and the kind of help you’re looking for. This helps us make sure that your needs are a good fit for our offerings.
The application might take you 10 to 15 minutes to complete. You already have all of the answers you’ll need.

Expect a response within 1-3 business days.
Most applications are accepted. We might have follow-up questions to make sure we’re all on the same page.
The acceptance email has enrollment links, and an invitation to book a chat with Scott if you need help picking a plan.
Choose a plan and enroll.
Choose our Indie plan (membership) or the Guided plan (membership + coaching). There are some add-on options, too.
Pay for your plan with a credit or debit card. We can also coordinate payment from your company or employer.
All plans offer installment payments with no fees or interest.
As soon as you enroll, you’ll be a member!

You’ll have immediate access to our community space, onboarding course, and the ability to RSVP for and attend community events. You could say hello, ask for help, and make a new connection all on day one!
The CCA community is an online space that’s a hybrid of an old-school messageboard/listserv (👴🏻), a social network, and a chatroom.
It runs on the web, and doesn’t require any special apps to use.

Community access is enabled as soon as you register. Career Strategy Workshops and coaching sessions can start whenever you’re ready.
Self-paced career materials will be added throughout early 2024.
Is this a good program for pivoters or those new to UX?
Yes! Many of our resources have been developed with newbies and career pivoters in mind, and you’ll be in good company in our community of professionals with ziggy-zaggy career paths.
Is this a good program for someone new to the job market?
Maybe! If you’re just now learning about UX content, our Indie plan can be a cost-effective way to build a firmer understanding of the space and start growing your network.
What does it cost?
Between $695 and $2495, depending on your plan. There are a few ways to join CCA, and installment payments are available for all plans.
How does payment work?
Individuals
You’ll use an online checkout form to pay via credit card. Stripe is the payment processor. You can pay in full or in 2 or 3 monthly installments, depending on your plan.
Organizations
You can register on someone’s behalf using the online enrollment. We can also coordinate invoicing and/or wire payments, if needed. Contact us to get started.
When are community events scheduled?
Event scheduling will adjust over time to respond to the needs of our community.
Community events are typically an hour long, and typically on weekdays, either during the early morning or late afternoon, Eastern time. We have members around the world, and do our best to please at least 2 or 3 of the major regions (Americas, Europe, APAC, ANZ) with our scheduling.
Collaborative workshops are longer, often 90 minutes or 2 hours, and might fall on an evening or weekend.
All events are optional. Some of our programming will be recorded and available on demand.
