Why join CCA?
ONLINE COMMUNITY
Stay connected to the content community — without social media.
Our online community is a place to post content and career questions, get and give feedback on portfolios and resumes, share and find opportunities, and more. It’s a comfortable, supportive, toxicity-free place to ask questions, get help, and expand your network. It might even fix your FOMO (for content trends and best practices, anyway).
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Build your content skillset.
Writing and communication skills are always valuable, but the context around them is always changing. CCA membership can help you meet (and set) your professional development goals through mutual accountability, free member workshops, a growing library or professional development content, and significantly-discounted pricing on our public courses and trainings.
COaching & FEEDBACK
Work through challenges in group calls and feedback sessions.
Not everyone has a dedicated mentor or can afford costly coaching programs. And even pros at big companies might not have anyone to turn to for feedback on their work. CCA members can get help and feedback with content, design, and career challenges through twice-monthly group coaching calls, periodic critique sessions, and topical workshops — plus, you can always post to the community for help from Scott and fellow members.
Tools & Resources
Get clear answers from people who’ve been there. And done that.
All members can use our evolving wiki and resources collection, which together cover topics like content testing methods, common interview questions, definitions of common content terms, productivity tools for writers, salary research, and more. And our community is a great place to ask for recommendations of design methods, strategic frameworks, apps, and software.
Who is this for?
Are you a ‘word person’ who does more than copywriting — like strategy, design, or research?
CCA Membership is for you.
CCA supports people pursuing or working in roles under the big tent of UX content.
Our members are interested in things like:
- content design & UX writing
- content strategy & content marketing
- content operations & content engineering
- conversation + conversational design
- information architecture
- technical content & communications
- product marketing
…and all of the many variations and flavors thereof!

Membership FAQ
When can I start?
Now! We’re currently enrolling new members. You pay just once for a lifetime membership. Community access is enabled as soon as you register.
What does it cost?
Our one-time membership fee is $695. You can pay in full or split it across three monthly installments.
Is this a good community for career changers or those new to UX?
Yes! Many of our resources have been developed with newbies and career pivoters in mind, and you’ll be in good company in our community of professionals with ziggy-zaggy career paths.
Is this a good community for someone new to the job market?
Maybe! If you’re just now learning about UX content, our programming and resources can be a cost-effective way to build a firmer understanding of the space and start growing your network. CCA can be a good partner in your self-education journey, or help fill gaps that another program you’re part of doesn’t cover. It’s not a substitute for a full education, however.
How does payment work?
Individuals
You’ll use an online checkout form to pay via credit card. Stripe is the payment processor. You can pay in full or in 5 monthly installments.
Organizations
You can register on someone’s behalf using the online enrollment. We can also coordinate invoicing and/or wire payments, if needed. Contact us to get started.
When are community events scheduled?
Event scheduling will adjust over time to respond to the needs of our community.
Community events like group coaching or networking are typically an hour long, and typically on weekdays, either during the early morning or late afternoon, Eastern time. We have members around the world, and do our best to please at least 2 or 3 of the major regions (Americas, Europe, APAC, ANZ) with any given event.
Collaborative workshops are longer, up to 2 hours, and might fall on an evening or weekend. Workshop programming is often recorded and available on demand.
Do you offer refunds or subscriptions?
If you experience a personal or financial emergency, such as a medical event or layoff, refunds are available at our discretion in the first 60 days.
We do not offer subscriptions. Pay once and you’re a member for life!
Will I definitely get the job, promotion, or other career milestone I want by joining CCA?
Definitely? No.
CCA doesn’t guarantee any specific career outcomes from your membership experience. (We recommend you be wary of any programs, bootcamps, or communities that do!)
Before any major career decision — including joining CCA — talk to your people.
Always discuss major choices like changing career paths, enrolling in a program, or leaving a job with people in your life who know you and your situation.
